Careismatic Brands, Inc, and The DAISY Foundation Announce
2020 Cherokee Medical Uniforms Nursing Conference Recipients

LOS ANGELES – (February 14, 2020) – Careismatic™ Brands, Inc., the world leader in medical apparel and manufacturer of Cherokee® Medical Uniforms, along with the DAISY Foundation™ are pleased to announce the 2020 recipients of the Cherokee Medical Uniforms Nursing Conference Scholarship Program.

A longtime supporter of the DAISY Foundation, an international program recognizing the incredible work and sacrifice of nurses, Careismatic created this annual scholarship to support DAISY Award Honorees. Each scholarship provides $2000 in financial assistance for a nurse to pursue their licensure, credentialing or overall professional development through conference attendance.

Since its inception, more than 1500 DAISY Award recipients have applied for this scholarship.  The application was open to international DAISY Honorees for the first time in 2020.

After careful review of the scholarship applications and candidates, The DAISY Foundation and Cherokee Uniforms selected ten nurses to receive this scholarship in 2020:

  • Aida Abdulrahman – Al Khor Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation (Al Khor, Qatar)
  • Catherine Eikenberry – Norton Children’s Hospital (Louisville, KY)
  • Amy Fulwood – The Villages Outpatient Clinic – North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System (The Village, FL)

“We’re proud to support nurses and the important role they serve,” says Mike Singer, CEO of Careismatic Brands. “DAISY Award recipients have demonstrated true commitment to the patients in their care, and it’s an honor to be able to support them in their education.”

Bonnie Barnes, co-founder of The DAISY Foundation, said, “We’re proud of our partnership with Cherokee Medical Uniforms.
