I would like to nominate Grace Kleber for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award. Grace always takes the time to make sure each unit is staffed as best as possible. She helps place patients appropriately and always communicates with staff regarding admissions and bed availability.
She ensures that patient safety is first, recognizes patient-to-nurse ratios, and tries to make sure the staff is not overwhelmed when census is high.
She is always pleasant and smiling during rounds and asks the staff if she can be of help. We greatly appreciate her as a supervisor.
