Adriana Julien was nominated by a former patient from our Labor & Delivery Unit here at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. The mother wrote: 

I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy in January. After struggling for many years with IVF and losing my precious daughter several years ago, giving birth again was terrifying.  Adriana was an angel. She held my hand through my whole birth and made it easy to be strong.

I never felt alone or left without guidance. My husband doesn’t do well with blood, and she even found roles for him to stay involved with my birth process. Adriana was comforting and alleviated my fears.
