I was hospitalized at Newton Hospital. I was very depressed about being hospitalized, and I just wanted to go home. All the nurses who provided my care were excellent, but Rebecca was truly the brightest star. She lifted my spirits every time I saw her.

My IV was constantly beeping, interrupting my precious sleep, but once I told Rebecca about it, she fixed it immediately. This might sound small, but I was able to sleep, which helped in my recovery and attitude. Rebecca identified every medicine for me and explained why I needed it. She explained every test before I was moved and always checked in on me when I was returned to the unit to make me comfortable.

She spoke with a smile and never minded that I asked many, many questions. Or, if she did mind, I never felt anything but her patience. When I was able to walk around, I observed Rebecca with other patients on the unit. I could see she was lifting everyone's spirits. Rebecca's dedication, empathy, professionalism, and skill are incredible.
