Although the Emergency Department was extremely busy that day, Sarah had a way of making us feel like we were her only case.
Recently, my mother was admitted to the emergency room for care and was serviced by Sarah Reustle. From the moment Sarah entered the room, she addressed us in a professional manner... but something was different. Sarah had an energy that was soothing, calming, and made us feel at ease. She listened to the details of our issue and immediately began to make us feel that everything was going to be alright. I could tell my mother (who was nervous) was beginning to relax as Sarah began to take her vitals, document her case, etc.
Sarah is knowledgeable, skilled, kind, compassionate, and adept at her profession. As previously mentioned, not only did she make my mom relax, but me as well. Coming into the ED can be an extremely frightening experience, especially when you have a sick loved one at hand. Sarah had a way of making mom and I feel safe and secure. Her aura was peaceful, strong, and one of confidence. Whenever she exited and re-entered the room, she was sure to ask if she could bring us anything and/or provide updated info on the status of my mother's case. I never felt that we were alone because Sarah had a way of making us feel like she cared.
Although the Emergency Department was extremely busy that day, Sarah had a way of making us feel like we were her only case. Her professionalism was evident, and she never skipped a beat with her attention to detail. Working in a Healthcare environment can be very challenging at times. Sarah demonstrated to me that she has skills, knowledge, commitment, and is capable of handling any situation she may encounter. She is an asset to the Emergency Department team and contributes to the overall success of the Penn Medicine legacy.
