My husband was admitted in Feb. 2026. At the time of this nomination, he is still at Nash. Since coming to the hospital, we have faced challenges from being discriminated against, being told he was faking, and retaliation due to reporting issues. Today is day 4, and here enters Crystal. Crystal does change over from us am RN. She introduces herself and such. Later, after rounds, Crystal came in, sat down, and asked for our story. No judgment, no expectation. She sat quietly, asking for details when needed. After the conversation, she sat down to summarize it to verify her understanding. She then applied what we told her to my husband’s care. Crystal continues to check in on us and has respected every accommodation she can. We have been here for four days, and only one person has provided care to my husband. Not robotic, do you need anything, or here for vitals. True care. Listening to the patient and hearing what they need. From what she has shown us, she is the shining example of face-to-face nursing.
