I want to take a moment to recognize someone who truly deserves it, Lukeus Isbanioly. As a Veteran and current resident here at the VA Community Living Center, I’ve seen a lot of people come and go through these halls. Lukeus stands out in a way that’s hard to put into words.

He doesn’t just do his job, he lives it. Every single day, he shows up ready to serve with heart, patience, and genuine care. Whether it’s helping with daily needs, making sure everyone’s comfortable, or just taking a few minutes to talk and listen, Lukeus treats every Veteran here with the dignity and respect we’ve earned.

I’ve watched him go above and beyond when no one’s looking, staying late to make sure a Veteran was settled for the night, taking the extra time to check blood pressure when something didn’t seem right, or just stopping by a room to share a few words and a laugh. Those small acts mean more than most people realize. He’s professional, steady, and dependable.

You can count on him to handle tough situations with calm and compassion. But what sets him apart is his heart. He genuinely cares. And for those of us who’ve served and carry our own burdens, that kind of care makes a world of difference. I can’t express enough how much I appreciate Lukeus for the respect, kindness, and commitment he shows to every Veteran here.

 He represents the best of what the VA stands for: service, honor, and humanity. It’s easy to say someone goes above and beyond, but Lukeus truly does, day in and day out. He’s earned this recognition.
