Mary, you are my hero. My family member was sedated and intubated when I left in the morning, but because of you, he is breathing on his own and alert. I truly cannot express how much you did for him!

You came in with a speaker to keep him calm. Then you were able to advocate to get him extubated. After that, he did not look good, but you sat at his bedside for hours and forced him to keep breathing. You even put in the effort to get him up in the chair and into the best position for his lungs. I was in shock when I walked in that night and saw him doing so well.

Seeing him smile and speak meant so much to his entire family. You worked so hard that day to keep him in a good spot. I truly think you are the best nurse. You have been my best pillar of support through his recovery, and I cannot thank you enough!
