Christina took care of my father on a day when he had a respiratory incident requiring urgent action and on the day he had a serious change in hematocrit requiring a blood transfusion. One day, my father’s oxygen decreased suddenly to 64%, and Christina calmly took the necessary steps to assess, call for help, and treat him. My brother and I left the room and returned 15 minutes later, extremely concerned about my father. We were visibly shaken up, and Christina provided warm reassurance and hugs. Her empathy and care were very appreciated by my brother and me. She acknowledged our concerns as legitimate and provided an explanation of what occurred. The fact that she stopped what she was doing to comfort us meant the world to us.

In the second incident, my father required albumin and blood; she was busy with 2 patients receiving blood, yet she kept us abreast of everything she was doing for our father. She worked non-stop, making sure all the T's were crossed while also providing total care of my father. She was meticulous and thorough in providing us with the comfort of knowing that he is in good hands.
