Damian has consistently demonstrated exceptional innovation, leadership, and dedication to advancing anesthesia education and clinical excellence. What sets Damian apart is not only his academic and clinical performance but also his creative vision to enhance learning for future SRNAs. Over the past several months, Damian designed and refined an artificial intelligence tool called Andy – The Anesthesia Mentor—a customized ChatGPT model tailored specifically for nurse anesthesia students.
Andy serves as a virtual mentor that simplifies complex anesthesia concepts, walks learners through real-world clinical scenarios, reviews pharmacology and crisis management, and even provides mentorship on professionalism and program expectations. It blends educational rigor with empathy and humor, reflecting the qualities of the best CRNA mentors. Damian’s creation exemplifies Jefferson’s commitment to innovation and to integrating technology into healthcare education.
Damian plans to focus on this Machine Learning (ML) theory for his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) NAP project. In addition to his academic and technological contributions, Damian also serves as the Student Representative for the New Jersey Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NJANA), where he advocates for student involvement, professional engagement, and the advancement of the nurse anesthesia profession at the state level.
Beyond his impressive accomplishments, Damian embodies the spirit of collaboration and excellence that defines our JCN NAP. He uplifts his peers, shares knowledge freely, and inspires all of us to think beyond traditional boundaries. For his creativity, leadership, and genuine passion for improving anesthesia education, I am honored to nominate Damian Kulikowski as an extraordinary graduate of the Jefferson College of Nursing Nurse Anesthesia Program.
