Deonne Wright has been a nurse for 43 years. Her journey started at Josephine Memorial Hospital and continued at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center, where she took on the roles of Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, and House Supervisor. She also utilized her skills in Med/Surg and Peds as the Manager.
Deonne was instrumental in bringing DAISY to Asante Three Rivers in 2010 by presenting their 1st DAISY Award. She continued in the capacity of onsite DAISY Coordinator for 4 years, creating a strong DAISY program through careful implementation and cultivating awareness.

Deonne served as a Certified Infusion Specialist from 1998 to 2013, developing and supervising the first Three Rivers PICC program. Then she moved into the role of Staff Development Specialist and the Pathway to Excellence® Coordinator. She led her hospital to become the first hospital in the Pacific Northwest to receive the Pathway to Excellence® designation.

Deonne is also very active outside of her time at Three Rivers, being a Founding member of the Oregon Holistic Nurses Association and holding the position of Director from October 2010 through 2013.

Deonne’s many contributions to Asante Three Rivers Hospital will be appreciated and expanded on long after her retirement.
