She welcomes students with eagerness and willingness to teach us her wisdom.
I am a student of the ADN program at CCCC, and Rhonda was my clinical instructor while I had my rotation at MCHHS.
I can assure you, as a student, clinical days aren't always something you look forward to, depending on the clinical site and the staff and instructors. I can honestly say that I have looked forward to every Monday at MCHHS with Rhonda as my instructor. She is an incredible person and an even better nurse and instructor. She welcomes students with eagerness and willingness to teach us her wisdom. She encourages us to use our critical thinking skills and acknowledges our individual strengths.
Rhonda has taught me more than just skills or tasks. She has taught me that compassion is the best trait you can have as a nurse. This is a lesson I learned and witnessed Rhonda displaying not only to us students, but to every patient she encountered. Rhonda is the definition of the word “nurse,” and I hope to become even just half of the nurse she is during my nursing career. I hope she knows how much she has impacted my journey to becoming an RN. She motivates me to become better and believes in me even when I may not believe in myself.
Rhonda is a terrific asset to the rest of the phenomenal staff at MCHHS! I am blessed to be a student of hers and will not soon forget my wonderful clinical experience here at MCHHS.
