Little did I realize how she would become a beacon of light and hope for me in my darkest hour.
Hanna was just a glowing personality; her affect and demeanor were ones of warmth and caring. She took time to listen to me. Her presence just made my hospital stay a pleasant experience!

I had a very challenging time in the hospital. Hanna did everything in her power to make sure I was comfortable when I was in so much pain. She advocated for me, and she truly is an amazing soul. She's so warm and kind, very hardworking. She definitely made my experience so much better and went above and beyond every time. I appreciate her support tremendously.

My daughter recently had a surgical event, which led to a second surgical event. Hanna exhibits the care, concern, and empathy of a family member. My daughter consistently sought her comfort and well-being, and Hanna’s approach to medical care is well beyond normal standards. Hanna is an example of the best of the best of her profession. She can make the patient, family, and friends feel like they are at home or at a close and caring friend’s home.
I cannot stress enough the value of this level of care in the healing of the patient. Hanna is the A-team of nursing, and the hospital is extremely fortunate to have such a dedicated professional. I feel that her story would be an exceptional story to tell and inspire other nurses. There are so many amazing things that Hanna does in caring for her patients.

I am sharing my experience with Hanna as a patient who was under her care multiple times over the past several years. My original surgery went great, and recovery in the hospital went very well, too. I remember first meeting Hanna and loving the way she spoke; her accent was very beautiful. Little did I realize how she would become a beacon of light and hope for me in my darkest hour. Her attention to detail, her nurturing tone, and her soft demeanor as a nurse eased my anxiety.
I was hospitalized a few weeks after my procedure, and once again, Hanna was my nurse during this stay. Then my monthly hospital stays began. I had many health issues and was hospitalized several times. Over the course of this time, I would always have Hanna as my nurse during some part of my stay. She would go above and beyond every time I saw her. She advocated for me when I felt my concerns weren’t being heard. She listened and expressed empathy. She was extremely prompt if I asked for anything and made it a point to check on me regularly.
Her greatest asset is that she is not just one way toward me. She is caring, kindhearted, and a true embodiment of a nurse to everyone. At one point, my children visited, and she spoiled them as if they were her own, bringing them ice cream and an extra mattress for them to sleep on. She became like family due to how often I was hospitalized. Hanna was a huge part of easing my mind during uncertain stays. I always make it a point to ask to be on Hanna’s unit and specifically ask if she is working, just to see a shining and familiar face. She always welcomes me with such exuberant energy and a warm smile that can make you forget you’re in a hospital.
I am forever grateful my life was blessed with her as a nurse—that I have had the opportunity to be under her care and witness what it means to genuinely love your job. In my humble opinion, I have not met a nurse to this day who embodies empathy, advocacy, compassion, and love for her patients like Hanna. Thank you for being a change in my life, to my life, for my life!
