She is the most wonderful, caring nurse and person that I have ever met.
You have a nurse in this facility, unlike any nurse or medical staff I have ever run into. Her name is Candace. She has been my nurse off and on during my stay, and I just wanted you to know that you should be extremely grateful to have a person like her in your facility. She should be recognized for her contributions and for just being who she is.
When we come into a medical facility, all our dignity can be taken away. We are at our lowest point. We can’t perform simple tasks like going to the bathroom when we need to, throwing the trash away, bending down to pick something up, putting our clothes on, or getting in and out of bed unless we ask for help. It’s degrading, depressing, and we’re scared of the unknown.
Candace seemed to really understand that, and it reflects in the performance of her duties, not only with me but with other patients as well. She has the “it” factor that few have, and it made a huge difference in my physical and emotional recovery.
She does her job in a kind, caring, understanding, and empathetic way. She has a huge heart for all her patients and never made me feel like I was bothering her. She helped me so much mentally and emotionally.
When I first arrived here, I was very depressed, confused, scared, and in pain due to my spine surgery and fear of the unknown. She talked with me and told me that I had every right to feel the feelings I was having. She let me know it was okay to feel depressed, confused, upset, or whatever emotions I was experiencing at the time. I saw her interacting with other patients in the same way.
She is the most wonderful, caring nurse and person that I have ever met. I feel so strongly about this that I just had to let the world know that she is a gem, and she should know this and be recognized for how much of a difference she made during my stay here, and I am sure with many others as well.
