Over the past year, Christina has gone over and beyond by helping me, reaching out to me, and giving me the encouragement to keep myself together through a very difficult time in my life. I have no idea where I would be without her help. Last year, my 79-year-old husband had a significant health event. This was one of the worst times of my 59 years of marriage. Thank God for the hospital and doctors who took care of him for several days and then transferred him to receive a higher level of care. When my husband was released from the hospital, I was blessed to meet Christina. She is not only a blessing to me but to everyone. Christina looks way beyond what her duties require to be a nurse and realized how much stress I was going through. She always had the time, and if she didn't have the time, she would make the time to listen to me when I needed a shoulder to cry on. She gave me hope and encouragement when I was falling apart. I call Christina my earth angel because surely God sent her to help me. She would brighten up my day the way the sunshine brightens the sky. What I had been through the past year with my husband, there is no way I would have gotten through it without Christina. I will be forever grateful for all her pertinence, support, and loving care that she had for me. I am nominating Christina for the DAISY Award because if there is anyone who deserves an award for dedication, it is this woman. I count my blessings each day for her kindness and loving heart.
