You can tell nursing is both Savannah’s career but also her ministry. Savannah goes above and beyond to be a light, leaving an impact on her patients, families, and her fellow teammates. Savannah always comes in with a smile on her face and a positive attitude, ready to work hard for both her assigned patients and all the patients on the floor.

I have witnessed Savannah advocate for patient safety, escalate concerns, pray over patients, be a listening ear when patients have felt overlooked or misunderstood, and be very skilled, rarely asking for assistance. It is always a joy to work alongside Savannah. One small example of a specific time that demonstrated Savannah’s dedication was when I was working alongside her, and my patient in COVID isolation had called out to use a bedpan while I was in another patient’s room.

Without my knowledge, she put on her PPE and helped that patient onto a bedpan. Savannah is a respected and trusted teammate, and those who work with her feel comfort in confiding in her, knowing that not only will she be compassionate, but also will take the time to pray for them if asked, and her nursing judgement is respected by those who value her opinion and advice when sought.
