She has a loving, caring nature about her that makes being at the hospital a little easier. She is very cheerful, organized, and just an all-around happy soul.
Cordelia became my son's nurse after he left 116 days in ICU and was transitioned to the medical unit, it was a rough transition and very scary to be on a less intensive floor. Cordelia has worked the most with my son for the past 9 months and knows everything about him! She has a loving, caring nature about her that makes being at the hospital a little easier. She is very cheerful, organized, and just an all-around happy soul. It has been easier leaving my son when I know that she is his nurse for the days I am not at the hospital with him. Cordelia has even some in to say HI to my son when she is on the floor but assigned to someone else. My son was diagnosed with a…very rare epileptic condition that "just happens." It has been a learning process for all of us involved, and Cordelia has also learned along with us. She has suggested certain changes, like going to a G tube instead of a GJ tube since my son didn't need the J tube anymore. The transition was great, and my son did well! Cordelia has helped my family and has gone above and beyond the title of an RN! I know that every child that is in her care will get just as much love and compassion as she gives. When our time comes to leave SCH, she will be truly missed as our nurse and a friend in my eyes. Thank you, Cordelia, for loving your job and caring so much for my son! Everyone in the medical unit loves having Cordelia.
