Joe has been an outstanding Education Coordinator, profoundly influencing our nursing teams and ensuring that nurses transitioning into practice are both confident and competent in all aspects of care.
I am nominating Joe for the impact he has made at NM on a system, hospital, and personal level for so many of the people he has educated. Joe has spent his career at NM Palos from the time of being a new graduate nurse on SG3S. Joe is warm, welcoming, and dedicated to every staff member he interacts with. Joe's compassion for the "patients first" mission is apparent in all the work he does in professional development. He is the first to volunteer for an education project, big or small. He is accountable and hard-working, no matter the task: product rollouts, quality improvement projects, policy revisions, practice updates, etc. Lastly, Joe finished his MSN, education track, this past year to further develop and offer his role all he can. His advanced education has only improved his dedication to professional development in nursing. It doesn't hurt that he always has a smile on his face.
