She was exceptional not just with her nursing skills, but with genuine kindness and caring. She really cared about me.
Your staff (nurses, assistants, housekeepers, all of them) were exceptionally helpful, kind, patient, and caring. But there was one nurse who stood out by a mile. She was on the shift until 11:00 PM. I was sad every day when she had to go. She was exceptional not just with her nursing skills, but with genuine kindness and caring. She really cared about me. She never made me feel like an inconvenience or a problem, and she took the time to explain everything, including my room (it's important!). I hadn't been in the hospital and knew nothing of the workings of the bed, the bathroom, the IV -and if it is new to you, there is a lot to show a first patient. The nurse who first had me in the room took as little time as she could settling me in the room and explained nothing. I tried to ask her questions, but she acted as if it was too hard to answer them and left. Then came Tashi. I told her I didn't know where the call button was, how to work any bed buttons, controls, and she was amazing. She takes her time and cares about each thing. Every day she was on duty, it was a day I knew I would be taken care of. But the last day was unbelievable, what she did. In the afternoon, out of the blue, I was being told I had to leave. I had no idea. They told me the doctor told me but just try to understand a soft-spoken foreign language accent and masked doctor. I really have no idea what they said. So, I was very distraught. I had no ride arranged because I didn't know I had to leave, and I desperately needed a shower. I could not do it myself at home and was counting on the help of your staff to help me shower. It had been two weeks! Tashi heard of this - scrambled to take care of other patients and hurriedly gathered all the supplies (towel, shampoo, comb, etc.) to make sure I got cleaned in the shower with her help before I went home. After such a long time not being able to shower, it was like being given a million dollars. She helped me through the whole thing and never rushed me. She's the most caring, kind, capable, and loving person I've ever met.
