Her eyes, ears, and heart are in the best practices and standards of Chelsea Hospital.
Nomination #1:
Heather goes above and beyond in her Emergency Department Nurse Educator role. In March, there were 9 staff onboarding at the same time.  Heather is responsible for organizing each new hire's schedules, arranging preceptors, daily check-ins, keeping them on track with their education binders, and providing a listening ear to ALL that they come to her with.  This was by far the largest number of orientees we have had at one time. Heather also does quality review in our department and works closely with leadership to implement new protocols and ensure adherence to protocols with staff. She has an excellent ability to be a good listener.

Nomination #2:
Heather was the first educator who reached out to me when I became an educator at Chelsea Hospital in 2021. She checked in with me often. She has been with Chelsea Hospital for more years than I know, but in the years I know of, I have seen her create, re-create, mold, and pivot educational and leadership implementations. She is resourceful, inviting, and very knowledgeable. If she doesn't know, she will find you who does. She will even find who you need, even when you don't ask her. Her eyes, ears, and heart are in the best practices and standards of Chelsea Hospital. From ACLS Instructor (the person who created the program to CH) to BLITZ/ trauma education to new hire orientation- (the highest staff turnover rate, despite how many re-hires. It is still work an educator needs to do). I was in complete awe of her educational and leadership devotion when the BH unit was closed, and the ED created a BH obs. It wasn't simple, but she made it look simple. Her professionalism was inspiring.    She does more than one can say or write, and anyone who works with her knows this is true. Thank you, Heather. Our CH education team could not run as smoothly and effectively without you.

Thank you for taking the time to nominate an extraordinary nurse educator. Please tell us about yourself, so that we may include you in the celebration of this award should the nurse educator be selected.
