Hajar exemplifies the heart of nursing through every patient interaction, consistently demonstrating the core values that define a compassionate and effective nurse. Her passion for nursing is evident in her enthusiasm for clinical learning and her unwavering commitment to patient care. Each day she approaches her clinical assignment with positivity, resilience, and a genuine love for the profession that uplifts everyone around her.
One of the most moving examples of Hajar’s empathy came when she cared for a patient who had repeatedly refused hygiene and grooming care from staff. Where others saw resistance, Hajar saw a person struggling with dignity and discomfort. She took the time to sit with him, talk, and truly listen- recognizing that his reluctance stemmed from feeling ashamed of his appearance. Through her gentle presence and words, she gained his trust and encouraged him to accept a bath, a beard trim, and a haircut. Her actions didn’t just meet a physical need, they opened the door for him to begin participating more fully in his overall treatment.
This experience reflects not only Hajar’s empathy but also the trust she builds with patients and the team alike.
