Kiran went beyond for her patient. Her patient voiced to Kiran that she felt lonely on her 101st birthday and was about to celebrate in her hospital bed. Kiran asked the patient what would make her happy and if she would like anything special for her birthday, such as a favorite cake or food. The patient requested a glazed donut. And a glazed donut she received on the morning of her 101st birthday. Kiran went to Mr. T's Donuts early before her shift and got donuts for the patient and everyone on the unit. She made decorations for the patient's room to lift her spirit on this special birthday. She organized other staff members to come to celebrate the patient and sing the patient a happy birthday. Kiran showed a kind, compassionate spirit and deserves to receive all the recognition. She is an excellent nurse who does diligent work daily and is knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind to her coworkers and patients.
