We, the Nursing Professional Practice Council, are honored to present Kim Force with the DAISY Nurse Leader Award. Kim exemplifies the true spirit of leadership, creating an environment where trust, compassion, mutual respect, professional development, and ethical behavior are not only valued but actively modeled and supported. Her leadership is both generous and invaluable, profoundly shaping the work culture and therefore the quality of care provided to patients.
Through her actions, Kim fosters a culture where every team member feels valued and supported. She is consistently accessible, available, and responsive to the needs of her team, creating an open line of communication that builds trust and respect. Her generosity of spirit and approachability make her an invaluable resource for staff, as she is always willing to listen, offer guidance, and provide support. Under her direction, team morale has flourished, turnover rates have decreased, and patient outcomes have improved- all testaments to her exceptional leadership.
In times of challenge, Kim leads by example, skillfully problem-solving and encouraging critical thinking to address complex issues. She actively promotes a collaborative environment where every team member's voice is heard, and every idea is valued. In her role as Senior Director of Nursing, Kim is solid in her commitment to the professional development of not only herself, but of her team members as well.
