During my wife’s stay, Lyndsay went above and beyond in caring for her, while also offering me reassurance that she would be okay. Her calm demeanor and genuine compassion brought so much comfort during a stressful time. Her kindness extended beyond the room; I witnessed her helping coworkers in the hallways and even stopping to chat with a former patient. She took the time to ask how they were doing, showing pride and joy that they were up and moving. It was clear how much they care about the well-being and progress of everyone they encounter.

Lyndsay's dedication was even more evident during moments when she was extremely busy. On one particular day, after finishing passing my wife’s medications, another nurse came in to ask if Lyndsay could place an IV for another patient. Without hesitation, she said she would, despite already juggling a heavy workload. Her willingness to help her team, even in the busiest moments, is a testament to her character and professionalism.

At the time of my wife’s discharge, Lyndsay personally washed her up and helped her get dressed. When the nurse assistant offered to handle it, they kindly said, “She is also my patient, and I don’t mind helping.” That moment encapsulates the selfless care that she provides and the pride she takes in her work. She is always smiling, and her positive energy has a way of lifting up everyone around her. She made me smile and laugh during some of the most difficult days, and I am truly in awe of her dedication. Lyndsay’s joy for nursing is evident in every interaction, and she is a shining example of what a nurse should be.

After her surgery, my mother became confused, panicked, and difficult to manage. The night shift staff had trouble calming her, and they ended up calling Lyndsay, even though she was off shift. She didn’t hesitate to step in and help. She spoke with my mom on the phone and, with incredible patience and compassion, was able to calm her down. Her ability to provide comfort and reassurance didn’t just benefit my mom—it also made a huge difference for our family. 

Her warmth and attentiveness made us feel as though we weren’t in a hospital. She created a sense of peace and care that is rare to find in such a stressful environment.
