I have had the privilege of working alongside Tracy for over 15 years, both as a trusted friend and a colleague, and throughout this time, she has consistently exemplified outstanding leadership in both clinical and administrative settings. Tracy's attention to detail, professionalism, and communication skills have fostered a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Her leadership is characterized by a deep commitment to respect and shared governance, and she has been a true role model for nurses across the organization. "She is a great leader with a good heart." That is how I describe my head nurse. I have been working in the neuroscience department (1 South) for almost 9 years now, and within these years, she has helped me hone my skills and attitude toward achieving quality nursing care.  She is readily available to her staff whenever we need her. When personal problems arise, she never fails to find ways to help us in any way she can. She might be a strict head nurse when it comes to work, however, this had helped me do better things for my patient. When I am working in other units, 1 South (Neuroscience) is known because of the quality of work that we provide, and this is all from her guidance. This is my way of thanking her for her great job not only to her 1 South staff but also to the whole institution. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

She is a soft-spoken leader who always shies away from attention, but you know she is there, and you know she is in charge, and she empowers us to take the lead and initiative. She treats us all with respect and kindness; she allows us as nurses to make choices to suit our everyday needs as nurses/ employees.

She encourages gratitude on our unit. Our journal club came up with a suggestion to have a corner where we could decompress during our break, and she was behind us 100% of the way.

If there is a staff who is struggling emotionally and it is beyond her scope, she utilizes resources around us, and she encourages staff to use code lavender, she encourages staff to practice mindfulness, and use counselors.

Our unit is heavy, however, our team spirit is strong because she encourages teamwork, camaraderie and fair assignments, if there is a issue she will listen to us, investigate fairly, and use all the resources to support us and the patient.
