Ms. Reyes is one of the only reasons that I reapplied to LSCPA. I've never met a more encouraging, patient, and driven teacher throughout my college experience. Every test review, every lecture, every SIMS lab, and every visit for advice is always done with her 100%. She's a student advocate and has a way to break down her teaching to provide the best learning experience for her students. She's a natural teacher and educator. When I provide bedside care during clinicals, it's gotten to the point where I ask myself, "What would Ms. Reyes do?" She is more than deserving of this award for what she's provided for all of her students!

As we continue our journey to becoming future nurses, we’ve encountered many obstacles and unfortunate events but still continue to show up and give it our all each day. People have crossed our lives, who made us question or doubt our ability to be nurse, or told us we’re not good enough or smart enough to amount to anything in life and then there are those who believed in you and acknowledge your hard work, and told you something so simple as an “I’m so proud of you.” Mrs. Reyes has made a safe zone for us were we get to feel safe, and appreciated, were we feel comfortable to be able to make a mistake without feeling judged but still learning so much from it in such a positive aspect. She is the change this world needs and the definition of a truly inspiring educator, and for that, I thank her for it. Thank you for being the good we all needed.
