Sarah spent a great deal of time talking and listening to my mom to help her through the sad and lonely times.
My mother was a patient at Catholic Medical Center. Sarah was my mother’s nurse for a few days during her two-week stay in the Intensive Care Unit battling Covid. Sarah’s excellent nursing care and compassion played a significant role in my 87-year-old mother’s recovery.

Sarah was instrumental in helping with my mom’s nutrition by making sure she ordered her favorite foods and encouraged me to make family recipes and bring them in. My mother was lonely and depressed as a result of not being allowed visitors. Sarah suggested that I bring in family photos that she made into a collage on the wall so it was the first thing my mom saw upon awakening. From that day forward, my mother commented about the collage her “special” nurse Sarah had made.

Sarah spent a great deal of time talking and listening to my mom to help her through the sad and lonely times. Finally, yet importantly, Sarah kept me and our entire family well informed in regards to our mother’s condition. My mother is now home after several weeks and is doing well. This is absolutely related to the quality of care she received at Catholic Medical Center. I feel Sarah is an extraordinary nurse.
