She puts her whole heart into providing the best care for patients.
Susan is the Practice Ambulatory Care Manager at Bronson South Haven Family Medicine and Pediatrics. She always comes to work with a quick wit and lots of laughter. She has years of nursing experience that she brings to the table, and all of the providers and patients respect her and appreciate her expertise.
I share an office with Susan, and she consults our Transitions of Care team frequently, always attempting to provide the best care to patients. She has shown up early and stayed late for patients who truly needed that. I have heard her sit on the phone for several hours over the last year with one patient in particular who suffers from severe health anxiety, among a few other chronic health conditions. Susan is incredibly patient and calm with her, always answering the patients' questions about her health issues and medication regimen, and discussing the expectations of the patients' provider multiple times, and trying to simplify them as much as possible. Susan is always coordinating for this patient between our TOC team and the multiple providers that this patient has seen. Susan truly has empathy for how nervous the patient is about her health and attempts to help her problem-solve every step of the way.
On top of all this, Susan recognizes that we are a team and cares about each of us like we are her own family. She puts her whole heart into providing the best care for patients. She is a serious asset to our team and truly one of the best nurses/humans I have ever met.
