I wanted to take a moment to share my evaluation of Professor Erickson following my clinical experience this semester. I can confidently say it was one of the best clinical experiences I have had throughout my nursing education. Professor Erickson consistently encouraged students to ask questions, fostering a learning environment where curiosity and critical thinking were expected. She facilitated discussions that required us to think deeply, make sound judgments, and articulate our rationale for clinical decisions. Whether it was regarding the use and administration of medications or applying theory to practice, she ensured that we understood the "why" behind our actions. On my final clinical day, she provided me with an incredible opportunity to serve as the charge nurse. This experience helped me develop leadership and communication skills, as well as the confidence needed to guide my peers. After assigning students to their posts, she allowed me to lead post-conference discussions, where I questioned my peers about their patient scenarios and facilitated meaningful reflections on their clinical experiences. Professor Erickson's teaching style is direct and focused, and her high standards ensure students stay accountable and engaged. She has a unique ability to inspire confidence in her students while pushing us to excel. Her constructive feedback and commitment to our learning have left a lasting impression on me. Overall, Professor Erickson is an exceptional clinical instructor and lecturer. Her guidance has had a profound impact on my growth as a nursing student, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from her.
