Patricia leads through both kindness/selflessness. There is a reason why she is our unit’s “mom.”
Nomination #1:
Patricia is a real joy to work with. She is a very organized leader and completes her work in a thorough and timely manner. She is very effective with difficult clientele but establishes a good rapport. She is very easy to work with and is always in a good mood. She makes the shift much easier when in charge. She brings a lot of knowledge to Bryan. She follows the Bryan Core Values and is very deserving of the DAISY Award.

Nomination #2:
Patricia is just ALWAYS so wonderful. She spreads kindness, joy, and laughter every time I see her. My favorite days in treatment are when she is working. She’s uplifting and always so helpful, whether it be for things like meds/med questions or just a caring ear to listen to you vent. She deserves this award and much more!!

Nomination #3:
Patricia is a strong, supportive coworker who always puts others first. She is kind and compassionate to both staff and clients. Patricia is one of the most knowledgeable RNs I have ever worked with.

Nomination #4:
When I think of Patricia, I think of so many amazing things, because she is all things amazing. One word that comes to mind is welcoming. She displays “one team, one purpose”, not sometimes, but every shift. She is an amazing teacher. She is full of empathy. We take care of vulnerable clients, and Patricia “cares like crazy” and has SO MUCH EMPATHY. Thanks so much, Patricia, for everything you do, for patients and staff alike!!

Nomination #5:
Patricia ALWAYS goes out of her way to make patients and staff feel cared for. Recently, she did her best to make a patient feel special on their birthday. The patient was turning 18, and she said it’s important that you’re here with us. She figured out his favorite food, got him a card and stuffed animal, a balloon, and had the food delivered for him. Patricia made him feel loved and appreciated. She constantly encourages our clients and reassures them that they’re going to get through treatment and they’re not alone.

Nomination #6:
This woman gives her all to her patients. She is 100% focused on meeting our emotional, medical, and mental needs. Her enthusiasm for this work is blatantly obvious, and there is no doubt about how much she cares for and respects us. She treats me with dignity, which is something I haven’t felt in a long time before coming into treatment. Nurses like her make believing in ourselves again attainable.

Nomination #7:
Great nurse, caring, always kind.

Nomination #8:
Recently, we had a youth patient in our care who turned 18 while admitted to our residential program. This particular patient did not have a lot of family support, therefore not a lot of acknowledgment or celebration of his birthday. Patricia took it upon herself to order him a special dinner of his favorite Taco Bell and purchased balloons for him from the gift shop. Patricia always goes out of her way to make clients feel worthy and loved.

Nomination #9:
Patricia leads through both kindness/selflessness. There is a reason why she is our unit’s “mom.” Patricia is not afraid to give every patient a hug and the support they need when starting their recovery journey. This kindness allows patients to open up to nursing staff, assisting staff to navigate their care. We have many alumni members come back and ask for Patricia to thank her for giving them kindness when taking the leap of recovery. You rock, Patricia!
