She is selfless, diligent, and dependable, and models these behaviors for the nurses in LCH.
Pamela Holley is a true pillar of the education cabinet at Levine Children’s. Her years of clinical expertise, in addition to her warm and approachable spirit, have made her an invaluable asset at LCH. She creates a safe and supportive environment, not just on LCH 5 Pre/Post but throughout LCH.

Her roles as facilitator for onboarding, BLS instructor, PALS instructor, and PNC instructor put her in a position to leave a positive mark on every nurse that she meets. She is a wealth of knowledge, able to add numerous real-life examples to the topics that she teaches, ensuring that nurses will not just see our patients as a job, but as someone’s loved one here for our help.

Pam is able to communicate effectively and creatively, using a variety of methods. She can commonly be found rounding on teams in the wee hours of the morning and staying late to make sure she has had the chance to check on everyone. She is a resource for all disciplines, serving on numerous councils and committees and even chairing the PNPQ committee.

Pam remains flexible, always happy to adjust her plan, approach, etc. to best meet the needs of her team. She is quick to give positive reinforcement to those who need it, while also being able to offer thoughtful, constructive feedback to help us grow as professionals, but also as an education team. She is constantly encouraging us to follow evidence-based practice in nursing care, but also in nursing professional development, ensuring that we are meeting the learning needs of our team. She is the voice of the bedside nurse in most instances, always speaking up to ensure that those nurses and their concerns are being heard at the decision-making tables.

Pam’s ten-plus years of experience as an educator are invaluable to the LCH Education Cabinet. Her leadership and commitment to lifelong learning not only inspire all of the nurses that she interacts with, but they also push our education team to be better. She is selfless, diligent, and dependable, and models these behaviors for the nurses in LCH. She is extremely committed to doing her part in making sure that our LCH nurses are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and resources to provide the best care to our patients and families. We are extremely lucky to be able to work by her side every day.
