Whether it’s guiding a new graduate through the nuances of emergency care or offering a seasoned nurse an opportunity for professional growth, she has an innate ability to assess individual needs and adapt her approach accordingly.
As an educator myself, I have never met someone so dedicated to teaching.

Miranda is a warrior, a leader, truly whatever title you need her to be, she steps to the challenge and sees it through. She continues to advance our education, keep us up-to-date on all important patient care updates, and ensure that we feel supported.
***
This nurse routinely goes around the ED and educates the employees on how something works, and or shows what new equipment we get and how it works

I am honored to nominate Miranda Lebel for this award. In the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of the Emergency Department, she stands out as a beacon of support, passion, and unwavering dedication. Her ability to nurture both new graduates and seasoned nurses alike is truly exceptional, and she does this while navigating the challenges of an ongoing construction project and the transition of new leadership within the department. She has taught me so much both as a friend and colleague.
Miranda is more than just an educator; she is a mentor and a role model to every nurse she encounters. Whether it’s guiding a new graduate through the nuances of emergency care or offering a seasoned nurse an opportunity for professional growth, she has an innate ability to assess individual needs and adapt her approach accordingly. Her passion for teaching is evident in every interaction, and she has an extraordinary way of making complex concepts accessible while encouraging confidence and independence.
Her approach is characterized by patience, empathy, and encouragement. She fosters a learning environment where nurses feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow in their practice. She creates a culture of lifelong learning, demonstrating that education doesn’t stop with graduation but continues throughout a nurse’s career. This philosophy of continuous improvement is evident in the ways she works with individuals at every stage of their nursing journey, whether it’s a new graduate just starting or a veteran nurse seeking to enhance their skills.
Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing construction project and the transition of new leadership in the department, Miranda has maintained an inspiring sense of calm and clarity. These factors could easily disrupt the flow of education and mentorship in any department, but she has risen above these obstacles with resilience and grace. She is a constant source of support for the entire team, and her adaptability ensures that the educational needs of the department are met no matter the external circumstances.
Her tireless dedication to her role as an educator has not only shaped the clinical practice of countless nurses but has also helped foster a sense of unity and resilience within the team. She is a trusted resource for her colleagues, and her ability to collaborate with both nurses and leaders has been instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition during a period of change.
Miranda embodies the essence of what it means to be an exceptional nurse educator. Her passion, commitment, and ability to inspire both new and experienced nurses make her a pillar of strength in our Emergency Department. She consistently goes above and beyond, not only as a teacher but also as a supportive leader in a time of transformation. It is for these reasons and more that I wholeheartedly nominate Miranda for this award.
