This nurse made a big difference in my stay at Grandview. I had her as my nurse for two days. Each day, she greeted me with a smile that would light up a room. She went out of her way to make sure I had excellent care and was comfortable after my procedure. She appears to take her job and the responsibility of being a nurse and caring for her patients very seriously. She was a team player when her coworker needed help, something you rarely see anymore. She also went way out of her way when I was waiting to see my doctor for a follow-up and to receive an update the day after my procedure (at that point, I had heard nothing). My husband and I had taken a walk. We decided to go to the gift shop. We passed our nurse and asked if I was allowed to go there, of course, she said “yes”. Well, as luck would have it, my doctor and his team came by my room while I was away. Our nurse knew it was very important that I see him, and she knew where I was. She asked the doctor to please wait, and she would be right back. She ran to the gift shop and snagged us so we could rush upstairs to catch the doctor before he left the floor. Tell me who does that?? My nurse did. She had an excellent bedside manner and left a huge impression on me. She is an asset to Grandview. Thank you, Lindsey Yeldell!
