I was in the hospital for an outpatient hernia operation.  This was my first experience of being in a hospital for anything since 1966 in Vietnam.  I will be the first to admit I was not a very good patient – especially when I came out of the operating room.  I tried to pull out and unhook everything that was attached to me and all I wanted to do was to go home!  Then nurse Kristi came in and was instrumental in calming me down.  She is the most humanistic, empathetic, sympathetic and professional person that I could have had come into my life.  I would like to take this opportunity to say “God Bless Her” and the whole nursing staff who took such wonderful care of me!
