Kim was very compassionate, understanding, and caring. She was always quick to respond when I needed her. Not only did she make sure I was always taken care of, but she would take the time to just talk to me when she was preparing or giving me my medications, as being in the hospital can get lonely. One morning, I had a medication due right at shift change and when this happens, I usually have to wait up to two hours to get it, which could get difficult as it was for pain. She stayed the extra time to give me my medication before she left, as she said she wanted to make sure I was comfortable before going home. This really touched me that she would think of me before going home after a long 12-hour overnight shift. True to her word, as she had been every night I was privileged to have her, she was there shortly after shift change to make sure I was taken care of. Her bedside manner, also, is second to none. Every time she came in, she was caring, positive, and just a pleasure to be around. Her care made my difficult nights easier, and I knew with her I was heard and didn’t need to worry about anything. Kim also absolutely amazed me with her thorough understanding of medical care. Every question I had, she was able to answer confidently and explain the answer in depth. She is an asset to the hospital and a shining example of what a nurse should be. Kim is an exceptional nurse, but more so, a beautiful and loving person.
