Patients feel welcomed and comfortable in the treatments being rendered and having Ms. Edwards explain what they don't understand.
Hilda's a team player. Always willing to help anyone. She's polite and soft-spoken but gets her point across. Respectful to all, no matter the age or title. Ms. Edwards brings out the best in her department and our facility, whether by telephone or in person. Patients feel welcomed and comfortable in the treatments being rendered and having Ms. Edwards explain what they don't understand. As a team player, she always covers two providers and has covered PCAs. She will do vitals when asked to cover. The word No does not appear in her vocabulary. She has no complaints; she's always quiet, happy, and cheerful with everyone. Ms. Edwards is the perfect candidate. A person who informs and explains to patients the vaccine being administered, what to expect afterward, and what precautions to take. She does this professionally and patiently.
A person who consistently does all of the above and doesn't complain is a person with many hats. She takes the time necessary to escort patients anywhere in the building to make it easier for them, such as to the pharmacy or radiology department. No patient likes to be lost; some are shy and embarrassed about not being able to speak English. You can actually see and feel the gratefulness and tender look in their eyes once their visit is completed.
We have many patients with PHQ9 scores above 10. When seen by Ms. Edwards for vaccines, these patients tend to pour their hearts out to her, and she listens and advises them to keep all appointments, especially referrals. She has a positive attitude within her composure, her eyes and ears on them. Once they leave, these patients are hopeful that, eventually, things are going to be all right. One of Ms. Edwards’s attributes is making her patients the number one priority.
