Everything seemed to be going well until, quite suddenly, she developed a fever, began vomiting, and was clearly not herself. After reviewing the surgery discharge paperwork, we decided it was best to bring her in, even though I felt a bit silly and uncertain about the decision. Her temperature was rising rapidly, and she just seemed very unwell. Though we had to wait a while, once we were in a room, Gabriella's presence was incredibly reassuring. She was kind, empathetic, and provided us with the reassurance we needed. She affirmed that we had made the right decision to bring our daughter in, emphasizing that it was important to ensure there was nothing serious going on. Gabriella walked us through the care process, explained when to be concerned about our daughter's condition, and provided clear instructions on how to proceed. Her supportive and non-judgmental attitude made a world of difference to us during a very stressful time. While it might have seemed like a minor issue in the grand scheme of things in the ER, Gabriella made us feel seen and understood, which we are immensely grateful for. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the injury and the limitations of the testing available in the ER, the exact issue couldn't be determined at the time. Amidst all of this, Gabriella was truly a breath of fresh air. She was instrumental in assisting us with pain management, ensuring that my daughter remained as comfortable and distracted as possible. Gabriella's empathy and understanding were evident; she never dismissed my daughter's pain levels or concerns. She approached my child with genuine care and concern, at a time when it was needed the most, especially when others underestimated the severity of her pain. Gabriella's dedication didn't stop there. She assisted us in advocating for my daughter, making sure that the doctors took her pain seriously. She never doubted our decisions as parents or my daughter's injury, which was incredibly reassuring. Thanks to Gabriella's commitment, we discovered several days later that my daughter's injury was indeed more severe than initially thought, and she required surgery to correct it. My daughter is not easily impressed, but she had nothing but kind and amazing things to say about Gabriella. Her Dad and I feel the same way.
