Diana provides exceptional care, and she’s able to put smiles on my mom’s face when she comes over, which is increasingly hard to do in such trying times.
Nomination #1:
Diana goes above and beyond to show her care and support for my mom and our entire family. Even in days when we can tell she’s tired, she never ever complains, although she’s human and has a right to as well.
My mom has breast cancer as well as heart failure, and not only does Diana provide exceptional care, she’s able to put smiles on my mom’s face when she comes over, which is increasingly hard to do in such trying times. She always manages to make time when we have hiccups and need help at home, as well as helping to educate us on this journey to care for my mom, which is greatly appreciated.
She also cares about my mental health as a caregiver and asks how I’m doing while caring for my mom. One very sweet thing she does in particular is she brings a toy or treat of some kind for my emotional support dog named Biscuit. Obviously, she’s one of Biscuit's favorite people, so she gets so excited to see Diana, which overall adds to brightening the mood sometimes, especially when we need it.
In general, we can tell that she cares for her patients and has a level of empathy and compassion that can be hard to come by even in the medical field. 10/10 nurse and human being.
Nomination #2:
These clinicians are caregivers who are angels and change the lives of patients and their family caregivers for the better. They are true professionals who are competent, caring, compassionate, and encouraging. Their care is thorough, safe, and proactive. Most importantly, from my family caregiver’s perspective, their verbal communication competence is the very key to the successful delivery during each visit of the competent, safe, consistent, compassionate, and encouraging care to my husband. Dianna also paid close attention to his emotional and mental health. Such a whole-person care approach (body, mind, and spirit) results in measurable patient health outcomes.
