From team members:
"She truly cares for her patients and is concerned about their well-being. She goes to Goodwill/thrift stores to purchase DME supplies her patients may need and provides them free to those in need. A patient of Christina's was discharged from the hospital with insulin; the patient was unsure what to do with the medication. Christina worked the pt into her day, missed rounds, and ran her day late to provide necessary education on how to use insulin. Her willingness to 'put patients first potentially saved a hospital admission and possibly worse related to hyperglycemia.

Christina began with Wellbe as a new grad in April 2024. It was very evident from the beginning that she has a passion for geriatrics as well as home care. She tries her very best to provide the best care for her patients while growing as a provider. She is rarely faced with a task that she is unable to tackle with humor and grace. If it is something she needs help with, then she is quick to ask for assistance.

Her patients clearly love her and trust her! Many times, we have to beg them to speak with or share concerns with other providers if Christina is unable to take their call. They have that much trust in her! I have received several phone calls from patients wanting to tell how pleased they are with Christina's care. One of whom has been interviewed by marketing.

Another is notorious for his negativity; however, he has called a few times to express his gratitude for Christina. I am always finding little tidbits of information in her patient charts that show her care and compassion, whether it be to ask about a pet that was sick during the last visit or to bring the patient some eggs from her chickens!

Another example would be the compassion Christina has for not only her patients, but their pets. She has helped rehome pets for patients who could no longer care for them and even attempted to help a patient locate a small dog to adopt for companionship. Her most recent cat rescue was just yesterday!

Tina has a heart for patients...and for cats. Goes above and beyond: She routinely shops at thrift stores for DME products to help support patients who are having financial trouble; she literally carries walkers and canes in her car! She has rescued multiple stray cats and "oops" kittens while out seeing patients, and volunteers to pay for their shots and spaying or neutering.

Tina has rearranged her schedule to help address urinary catheter issues, adjust insulins, and respond to COPD exacerbations. Made me smile the one time she messaged me, "I freaking love E paks, one of my COPDers just called me with an exacerbation, and guess who had it ready in her cabinet, bless her little soul. Happy face. It's the little things ". Tina will admit that she is opinionated and wears her heart on her sleeve, but these are also the reasons you know you are getting 100% of her mind, attention, and heart when under her care. And it's not just patients, it's also the medical team.

Tina S. does not let her status as a WellBe new grad keep her from learning more and supporting others, even when they have more experience. She has been so concerned about a co-worker who has been struggling with chart completion that she has devoted several Saturdays to meeting with the co-worker for coaching and helping in any way she can. This sacrifice has made a huge impact on the coworker, reducing her load! Your care, Tina, does not go unnoticed."

Christina is a fairly new NP, but has helped me immensely in getting acclimated to the WellBe Way of doing things. She is selfless and gives 110% every single day. Christina has purchased and delivered clothes and groceries for impoverished patients in need. She will bring our members who are lonely home-made crafts and snacks just to show them someone cares. "Swiger the Tiger," as we call her, has a heart of gold and is a shining reminder to all of us more seasoned providers that nursing is and always will be a calling.

From patients:

From the first day I met Christina, she has been the most compassionate and caring person I have ever known. She has gone above and beyond to help me with both my physical health and mental health. When she comes over, she listens to what I have to say and does everything she can to help. She has made it possible for me not have to go to the ER all of the time. She is just a truly awesome person.

She doesn't mind my messy house. She's really helpful with information, like recommending a doctor for my aching legs.
