Over the weekend, there was a very stressful and emotional situation in the emergency department that required multiple resources and all hands on deck. Melissa and Cassandra went above and beyond for many of our core values, including showing compassion, being better together, and building community. They demonstrated this by creating a memory mold/plaque of the patient's feet, a blanket, and a lock of hair as a keepsake for the family, for which they could not be more grateful and appreciative. They went above and beyond to support our unit and the family during this time in the best way they knew how, without being asked to do so. Thank you is not enough! Thank you for making a difference in this family’s experience and memory for years to come! Thank you for compassionately caring for our units’ heavy hearts!
