Bethany's ability to translate complex concepts into accessible and engaging material has not only enhanced the learning experience but has also significantly improved learner outcomes.
From the moment Bethany began her role as an education specialist in our division, she has embodied the qualities that define an exceptional nurse educator and has helped to better define the role and scope for the Nurse Educators she supports.
Bethany possesses an extensive and relevant clinical knowledge base in perioperative nursing, having worked in both Bell and CV Operating rooms; Bethany also has a deep passion for education and developing education plans that support all learners' needs, in areas outside of the Operating room.

Bethany has never shied away from jumping in to understand the roles of the nurse and the technologist in Interventional Radiology or in Cath and EP Lab; most of the areas that have intimidated many who came before her. Bethany even
jumped into support the Vascular Access team under a new leader as they re-built education plans to include a tiered method, with more objective measures of learning evidence.

Her work and that of the Manager and Educator were recognized at an Infusion Nursing Society conference, where they were able to present evidence of their good work.

Bethany's ability to translate complex concepts into accessible and engaging material has not only enhanced the learning experience but has also significantly improved learner outcomes. Bethany has supported not only nurse educators, but has also been instrumental in developing orientation and onboarding plans for technical staff as well, supporting the Technical Education Specialists, in addition to Nurse Educators.

What sets Bethany Fitzgerald apart is her commitment to innovation in education. Bethany has worked as the course director for Ziel simulation for our division, and has introduced cutting-edge teaching methods, including developing Code Blue simulations that support our Interventional Radiology and Dialysis teams, in addition to the standard Pre/Post modules, which have greatly enriched our curriculum. These initiatives have not only kept our program at the forefront of nursing education but have also inspired both students and colleagues to strive for excellence.
