As a nursing and nursing educator, Dr. Alicia Kletter goes beyond the call of duty to ensure her students succeed. Her passion for everything she does and her encouragement to challenge the status quo make her a special recipient of this award. As stated in the nominations, "Dr. Kletter consistently models the core values of SONHP in both her teaching and her practice. Her teaching pushes us to question the status quo, think deeply, care more fully, and stay grounded in ethical practice. Through mentorship and scholarly guidance, she fosters innovation and inquiry and empowers students to create DNP projects that drive lasting change. Dr. Kletter has taught me how to be a better nurse, practice with heart, engage in reflective thinking, and show up authentically for others. Her example has shaped the kind of nurse and person I strive to be. Dr. Kletter lives the mission of SONHP through every facet of her work as an educator, clinician, mentor, and advocate.
