Diana serves as a role model and mentor and sees each student as an individual. She works on providing an enriching environment for learning with her clinical students. She understands the workings of the clinical facility and is an effective liaison and advocate for student learning. One of her many efforts this year included offering extra supervision time during the COVID surge to provide for make-up hours. She recognizes the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion and she brings relevant resources to the clinical portion of the course she is teaching. She also makes faculty and students aware of activities within the school and community that promote awareness of this. Diana is involved in volunteer efforts within the school and recently facilitated students' participation in the Global Brigades' work in Honduras. Diana has taught at the school for almost 10 years and is willing to work in a variety of clinical sites and courses, and provides outstanding connections for the students. Her grading feedback is very thorough and thoughtful and helps to deepen students’ knowledge and bring forth better work. She is approachable and caring. Diana goes the extra mile to do what needs to be done. In addition to her work with students, Diana is an excellent and respectful colleague.
