Tamara was exceptional from the very beginning of my stay. Hospitals can be frightening places, especially when you're already in pain and unsure of what's happening, but she immediately made me feel welcome, safe, and less afraid.

I had arrived with two family members, and she quickly made sure they were comfortable as well bringing chairs and even a recliner for my mom so she could stay overnight with me. That small act meant so much to us.

One moment that truly stood out happened during the night when I was in excruciating pain. Tamara noticed that the pain medication listed on my chart was outdated and not appropriate for what I was experiencing. Instead of simply settling for what was written, she took the initiative to contact a doctor and advocate for me so I could receive the medication I actually needed. She didn't stop there; she came back multiple times to check on me afterward to make sure the pain had improved and that I was comfortable.

Throughout my stay, Tamara never made me feel like I was a bother or asking for too much. She always had a warm smile and took the time to explain every step of my care. Whether it was blood work or another procedure, she would walk me through what was happening and why, which helped calm my nerves and made me feel involved in my own care.

Nursing is not an easy job, and it's clear that Tamara was truly meant for this profession. Watching her care for patients with such compassion, attentiveness, and calm confidence made a lasting impression on me. She didn't just treat my symptoms; she made me feel safe, heard, and cared for during a very difficult time. She made my heart feel lighter in a place that can otherwise feel overwhelming.

Tamara is the kind of nurse who reminds patients that they are in good hands. I will always be grateful for the care she gave me.
