My aunt was in the hospital for a heart issue. A nurse cared for her and her roommate. Sadly, the roommate’s husband had been given devastating news by a doctor who did not show the utmost empathy or compassion.

I could hear Nav acknowledge the husband’s anguish with the utmost empathy. The fact that she not only heard but cared and took the time to acknowledge the impact of the words was incredible to hear.

The dignity and respect she afforded her patient and the patient’s spouse are the standard that should exist in all medical care. Even on a hectic day, she made sure her patient’s spouse knew she empathized with his experience.

Her interactions with my aunt and her roommate were of the highest caliber. I told her that day, and I would say it again: she is phenomenal at her job.
