She reassures her during examinations and vaccination appointments, and she also checks on her after to make sure she is coping well.
I would like to nominate Nurse Rosie from the Pediatrics Clinic at Burjeel Al Reem for the DAISY Award. She embodies the true spirit of compassionate, family centered pediatric nursing. Every encounter we have had with her has been marked by kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for our child, H.
Rosie consistently shows empathy and patience. She welcomes us warmly and makes sure Ha feels safe and comfortable even before assessments begin. During every visit, she asks thoughtful and relevant questions, advocates for H’s needs, and collaborates effectively with the team of doctors. She pays close attention to both clinical details and the emotional well being of her young patients and their families which is something that is deeply appreciated.
What sets Rosie apart is her attention to the entire patient journey. She prepares H before procedures or assessments so she is not anxious. She reassures her during examinations and vaccination appointments, and she also checks on her after to make sure she is coping well. This level of support extends to parents too, as she always takes the time to explain, clarify, and educate without making us feel rushed. Her presence transforms what could be a stressful clinic visit into a smooth, positive, and very humane experience.
We are very grateful for the care Rosie has shown over multiple visits. H has a complex pediatric background, and Rosie has always made sure she is cared for thoroughly and thoughtfully. She demonstrates clinical excellence, empathy, and reliability every single time. For these reasons, I strongly believe that Rosie deserves the highest commendation through the DAISY Award.
Thank you for considering this nomination and for recognizing nurses who make a profound difference in the lives of their patients and families.
