Kyleigh was the nurse caring for my infant son during one of the most frightening and exhausting experiences our family has ever faced. Her advocacy, compassion, and attention to detail made an overwhelming situation feel manageable.

My son went to bed a normal, happy baby, but just hours later became very sick. He was vomiting frequently and growing increasingly lethargic. By morning, we were exhausted, scared, and deeply concerned when we arrived at the Pediatric Emergency Department.

Although his labs appeared reassuring and discharge was being discussed, Kyleigh recognized something wasn’t right. She advocated for a consultation with another attending physician. Because of her persistence, the situation was reevaluated, and admission was recommended. A decision that changed the course of our son’s care. We are so grateful she spoke up when it mattered most.

Kyleigh also showed extraordinary kindness to our family. She ensured we were moved to a more appropriate space as soon as possible and brought us snacks and blankets, recognizing how exhausted we were.

When it was time to transfer inpatient, Kyleigh made sure our son was not disturbed and took the extra time to help us settle in. She introduced us to the next care team and made sure we were comfortable before leaving.

Because of Kyleigh, we felt supported, heard, and cared for during one of the most vulnerable moments of our lives.
