Deb was kind and caring when I was vulnerable and scared of the situation I was in. She not only talked me through things and did the usual for me, but went above and beyond with advice, jokes, and a family-like comfort that I have not received in a medical facility. I had to be alone for the night, so I am more than thankful to have had someone like Deb there to take the extra moments to acknowledge that my upset was real, help navigate my complex emotions in the moment, all while also offering a comforting word, a hand on my shoulder, etc to show that I was not truly alone.
