I am here with my father. He has Parkinson's and is experiencing a freeze event. His are more extreme than normal. However, I am nominating Julianne not just for her kindness to my father , but for the compassion she showed to the poor man who was on the other side of the curtain. He was in pain, but more than that, he was combative and argumentative because he was hungry. He was not cleared to eat. Julianne showed him respect by listening to him, and commitment by going to the cafe herself to determine the closing hours to ensure he would be able to eat once cleared. Nursing is a calling. VA nursing is a vocation at which she excels!
