Bethany was nominated by a patient’s daughter. It is worth noting that Bethany received nominations from seven different people during the month of April. The following represents the excellent care that was a common thread among all the submissions.

There’s no way that we could ever properly express how Bethany’s care impacted all of our lives. She was consistent and quick to care for my dad every step of the way. She was calm, kind, encouraging, and showed a level of compassion that I’ve never witnessed before. She handled my dad and his fear, confusion, and frustration with such gentleness. He is used to being in control and was always a “boss” in his professional life. It is truly remarkable how her presence affected him so positively, as he was not able to be in control at all.

She was also exceptional at showing patience and tender care to our family. My father’s stroke was a massive shock and very scary for all of us.

Bethany was very humble when we expressed our gratitude. I am confident that what she did for us, she does for all her patients and their families. I truly do not think that we could have survived those days without her. Bethany has made an impact on us for the rest of our lives. What a gift you have with Bethany being part of the Franciscan family. We will never forget her.
